The Arizona Restaurant Association Education Foundation hosted its 7th annual AZ ProStart Invitational on Saturday, January 25, 2020, at Scottsdale Community College. With eight high schools competing against each other in Culinary Arts as well as six teams competing in Hospitality/Management. The winning teams went on to represent Arizona at the National ProStart Invitational that would be held in Washington, D.C. from May 8-10, 2020.
Taking 1st place in Culinary Arts was Barry Goldwater High School out of Pheonix and led by educator Esther Skinner. 1st place in Hospitality/Management for the 3rd year in a row went to Apollo High School out of Glendale and led by educator Kristy Clarke.
