ServSafe Food Manager Training

Every food service establishment is required to have at least one employee who holds the ServSafe Food Manager Certification.

Passing the ServSafe Food Manager’s Exam satisfies the Certified Food Manager requirement of Maricopa, Pima, Cochise, Coconino, Yavapai, Mohave and Yuma Health Departments.

ServSafe Food Mangers classroom training, led by Certified ServSafe Instructors, uses the ServSafe Essentials textbook and is structured to include the information you will need to perform on the job. The class is designed as a 4-hour session with a certification exam at the end of the class.

ServSafe training covers critical principles including personal hygiene, cross-contamination, time and temperature, receiving and storage, food safety management systems, training hourly employees and more.

Once registered, participants will receive a confirmation including payment information that can be used as a receipt. a study guide will be sent via email or US mail to help prepare you for the class. When attending the class you will receive a ServSafe Essentials book with the answer sheet you will need for your exam.

The exam will be administered at the end of the review session and includes 90 multiple-choice questions. Certification must be renewed every five years.

Results may be accessed online within two to four weeks.
